Dr. med. Ulrich Klaubert
Medical Specialist for
Ear-Nose- and Throat Diseases

July 18, 1983

My medical career started in 1959 by studying at the University of Gottingen. State examination and promotion as a medical doctor in 1965. Thereafter recognition as a medical specialist for ear- nose- and throar diseases at the University Hospital in Munich in 1971. I took over a specialized practice in LUbeck in 1971 which I have been running independenly until today.

Through the aquantance with the teachings of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and through practical use my attitude towards my own life has changed very positively. Moreover, I also see the field of diseases, patients, life and death in a new, positive light. I have learned to see diseases and death as something natural that one does not need to repress but that one can experience consciously and therefore master it. I am trying to convey this to my patients as well.

I have read about Bhagwan for the first time in 1980 and then became more and more absorbed into his own works, saw and heard videos and tapes from his lectures. Besides I often participated in meditations and a few times in groups.

In 1982 I saw Bhagwan for the first time in person, during the First Annual World Celebration in Rajneeshpuram, Oregon. It was then that I decided to become his sannyasin. In 1983 I participated again at the festival, together with my family.

Bhagwan has earned himself unique scientific merits through his teaching activities. He was able to awaken spirituality to new life in our materialistic, negative world. Through the development of totally new forms of meditation for today’s man in the Western world, he made the approach to meditation possible for us. Without it, humenity will not be able to survive any longer as many scientists acknowledge. Also, a totally new therapy form is reulting here: many psychological sick who are still being put off with pills can in future be healed through meditations and loving contact to other people on a long-term basis. In this I see the uniqueness in Bhagwan's teachings.
