The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

To whom it may concern

I am an attorney in Heidelberg. I got my degrees in 1970 and 1972 at the University of Tübingen . I am also since several years involved in resocialisation of criminals.

I came in contact with the teachings of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh from books and tapes, which I read and heard several years ago. Through them I gained a deeper understanding of the underlying causes ( i.e. human motivations and emotions) of the many kinds of cases, whith which I deal, ranging from individual problems to larger social conflicts. This made me much more effective in my daily practice.

I realised, that the realisation of human potential and development of consciousness was the only way, in which peace and freedom - individualy and in social live - could be achieved. This could only be acheived through personal transformation and so I become a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.
