(Pratapkumar J. Toliya)

Pratap J. Toliya was born in 1930 or so and as of 2023 he is still alive and well and living in Bengaluru. He received many letters from Osho, from Jan 1966 to Jun 1970 and in addition attended many meditation camps and translated one of Osho's early books from Hindi into Gujarati, Amrta-Kana (અમૃત-કણ).

A fuller version of his name, Pratapkumar J. Toliya, can still be found in net searches, where he turns out to have been a professor, Jain scholar and a singer of devotional songs, Aarti, whose 45 rpm records still pop up on Ebay. His wife Sumitra accompanies him on some of these musical ventures. In his "day job" life, he was the principal of a girls' school in Visnagar, Gujarat.

Back in the day, Pratap was also a sought-after writer, and in several of Osho's letters, Osho encourages him to write articles about him (Osho) for publication in various periodicals. We hope to get some of this material. For starters, we have some of Pratap's notes on meetings with Osho and experiences in meditation camps hand-written in Hindi from 1966 to 1972.

Osho wrote 18 letters to him, below, in chronological order. They are followed by three letters from Osho's secretaries, two from Arvind Jain and one from Ma Yoga Laxmi.
