About the 1992 edition: It looks authentic, source is Jain Library, an online free library with audio and high-quality e-books. Themes are mostly Jain-related, eg Osho's talks on Mahavir but they have seven volumes of Gita Darshan. About "392 pages" and "H/E", it is not clear what book type the original 1992 hard copy was; hardcover is assumed based on its long publishing history; and 392 pages may refer to e-book version, not hard copy.

1992 is the pub date given in the colophon, presumably faithful to the hard copy. But there is a fair bit of date drift in these Jain Library Gita Darshan volumes. For the first three vols, we have 1996, 1998 and 1999, sort of drifting in the direction of the Rebel 2003 editions for all of them and so we have to wonder. Now we have 1992 for Bhag 4, which stops the drift toward 2003 but is sort of bizarre. Peeking ahead, we see 1992 for Bhag 5 as well. Meanwhile, all five (so far) have 1996 in the Jain Library info sheets accompanying the pdfs. We might well consider that these dates are not solid.

About the ISBN 8172611250, this was not explicitly found in the colophon or back cover, or anywhere. It is merely assumed, on the basis of Bhags 1, 2 & 3; ie their late 90's ISBNs were explicitly found in the usual places and were the same as the corresponding 2003 Rebel edition ISBNs. It is possible that, being published allegedly in 1992, before the others, it didn't have an ISBN, or it just didn't put it in this edition. Bhag 5 is in the same boat. Thus, these out-of-order 1992's may acquire some justification via the lack of ISBN.

About the pic for the 2003 edition: none was supplied previously. Since the e-book based on the 1996 Bhag 1 hard copy has the same cover image as the 2003 edition of Bhag 1, i have assumed a parallelism for Bhag 4 and introduced the e-book cover image as the 2003 cover.

About the wiki having first editions for every Bhag of the Gita Darshan mega-series being published in 1971, with subsequent editions 1973 reprinted 1977 (this even for talks given in 1975 (Bhag 8)): The source for this (mis-)info is unknown but is most likely a robotic copy-paste of what might have been true for Bhag 1. -- doofus-9 20:48, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Nov 2018 update: Info relating to editions from the 70s previously assumed to be earlier editions of this volume has been removed. -- doofus-9 08:25, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
