प्यारी मां,<br> | |||
रात्रि जोर की आंधियां चली हैं और पानी पड़ा है। सुबह घूमने गया तो सब गीला-गीला था और आकाश बादलों से भरा था। | |||
अब सूरज उठ आया है। नीम के फूलों की गंध में डूब मैं उसके उठने को देख रहा हूँ। | |||
मैं कहा कि सूरज उठ रहा है; शायद यह कहना थीक नहीं है। उठने में उसका कोई संकल्प नहीं है – उसकी अपनी कोई निर्णायक शक्ति नहीं है – ‘वह’ नहीं है। | |||
ऐसा ही मनुष्य भी है। यांत्रिक और परतंत्र। उसमें भी बस कुछ होता रहता है। वह भी जबतक यांत्रिक है, तबतक नहीं है। | |||
यह यांत्रिकता – यह न होना ही दुख है, संताप है। | |||
पर यह संताप चरम नहीं है। इसके पार उठना संभव है। मनुष्य की समस्त यांत्रिकता और जड़ता के भीतर भी कुछ है जो जड़ नहीं है। इस कुछ में ही जीवन की, स्वतंत्रता की, मुक्ति की संभावना है। | |||
मनुष्य से अधिक दुखी और दरिद्र भी कोई नहीं है; मनुष्य से अधिक समृद्ध और दिव्य भी कोई और नहीं है। | |||
चेतना की एक छोटी सी चिनगारी उसमें है। उसे ही फूंकना और चमकाना है। उसके सम्यक् रूप से जल उठते ही सब दरिद्रता और दुख जल जाता है। | |||
और फिर उदय होता है आनंद का, अमृत का, दिव्यता का। जो सदा से था, वह प्रगट होजाता है। नित्य-मुक्त, सत्-चित्-आनंद। | |||
इस अलौकिक का नाम ही ब्रह्म है। | |||

This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written on 12 Apr 1962.
This letter has been published, in Bhavna Ke Bhojpatron Par Osho (भावना के भोजपत्रों पर ओशो) on p 111 (2002 Diamond edition).
