- Illustrated with fifty drawings by the author, this is the story of one woman’s courageous struggle to find herself. It begins with her childhood in Australia. A victim of family violence, her only resolve was to survive until she was old enough to leave home. A teenage pregnancy which resulted in her losing her son, caused her to turn to drugs. Leaving Australia, she vowed to find the meaning of life, swearing never to return until she did.
- Her travels in Thailand and Japan offer a unique description of Asia in the post-Vietnam war period – a time when only few Westerners, let alone a young blonde woman, were travelling this route. Heavily dependent on drugs, she worked from day to day to support her habit and narrowly escaped a prison sentence.
- A lucky chance took her to India where she ended up in the ashram of the spiritual master, Osho, in Pune. For the first time in her life, she felt truly at home. With Osho’s guidance, she learned to trust enough to find a way out of her addiction. Despite many challenges, she never gave up hope of reestablishing contact with her son.
