राह चल रही है : कितने लोग आते जाते हैं; जैसे कोई अंत नहीं है! सुबह से रात्रि के अर्ध काल तक यह क्रम जारी रहता है। एक बीन बजाता मदारी निकलता है और फिर चौरस्ते के पास लोग उसे घेरकर खड़े होगए हैं। उसकी बीन से उठता गीत यहां तक आ रहा है : कोई फिल्म-गीत है पर वह तन्मय होकर गारहा है। वह जैसे है ही नहीं बस गीत ही बाकी रह गया है। गीत ही है, गायक नहीं है। गायक नहीं है इसलिए गीत जीवित होआया है। गायक मिटता है तब गीत का जन्म होता है। | |||
‘मैं’ मिटता है तब आत्मा का जन्म होता है। ध्याता मिटता है तब ध्यान उत्पन्न होता है। इसलिए ही ध्यान किया हीं जा सकता है। ‘करनेवाला’ ही तो ध्यान में बाधा है। यह सत्य दीख जाये तो बिना किये ध्यान उपलब्ध हो जाता है। ध्यान क्रिया नहीं है, क्रिया मात्र की स्माप्ति है। मन है क्रिया : क्रिया मन का प्राण है। क्रिया है तबतक मन है : मन है तबतक ध्यान नहीं है। | |||
ध्यान मन-शून्य अवस्था है। यह किसी के प्रति जागना नहीं है; यह मात्र जागारण है। कोई विषय नहीं होता है; बस ज्ञान मात्र शेष रह जाता है। इस ज्ञान स्थिति में अमृत का, आनंद का, अनंत शांति का उदय होता है। इस शांति को पाने के लिए ही यह जीवन है। | |||
