Talk:The Search
sugit, did you mean blank pages? or are they actually black?
Black as the deepest night. Thinking about it though, it IS a chapter. So maybe better keep it 10. --Sugit (talk) 12:42, 2 November 2014 (PST)
Subtitle with The or the?
In the 1977 editon, the subtitle on the cover and title-page is written as "Talks on The Ten Bulls of Zen". (All other editions either have a small t or have allcaps.)
Our rule is to have the subtitles capitalized according to "title-case", as specified here. So that would make "the" with a small t.
But if that "The" would be the first word of a book-title, then it would be a capital T. So is our subtitle referring to The Ten Bulls of Zen? It seems not :
- References in the book, the introduction and it's flap text suggest it's about "10 Bulls" or "Ten Bulls", not "The Ten Bulls".
- References on the internet overwhelmingly speak about (drawings of) "Ten Bulls", not to "The Ten Bulls".
So: small t.
