Letter written on 14 Aug 1962

This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written on 14th August 1962 from Narsinghpur (MP) while on journey. The letterhead has a simple "रजनीश" (Rajneesh) in the top left area, in a heavy but florid font, and "115, Napier Town, Jabalpur (M.P.)" in the top right, in a lighter but still somewhat florid font.

Osho's salutation in this letter is a fairly typical "प्रिय मां", Priya Maan, Dear Mom. There are a couple of the hand-written marks that have been observed in other letters: a black tick mark in the top right corner and a mirror-image number in the bottom right corner. As with a couple of other recent letters, there are actually two numbers there, one crossed out (124) and replaced by a pink number, 126.

The letter has been published, in Bhavna Ke Bhojpatron Par Osho (भावना के भोजपत्रों पर ओशो), on p 150 (2002 Diamond edition).

This letter is written from Narsinghpur while on journey, sitting in the train - Osho informs Ma that he is going to home (Gadarwara) and stay there for 2-3 days.

रजनीश ११५, नेपियर टाउन जबलपुर (म.प्र.) यात्रासे– (नरसिंहपूर) १४ अगस्त १९६२ प्रिय मां, बर्षा के झोंकों में मधुकामिनी के फूल नीचे झर गये हैं। पानी जोर का पड़ रहा है और थोड़ी दूर के पार कुछ भी दिखाई नहीं पड़ता है। स्टेशन पर भी इक्का-दुक्का यात्री है। मैंने प्लर्टफार्म पर देखा झांक कर है और मधुकामिनी की गंध मुझतक चली आई है। खिडकियों के कांचों पर से पानी की बहतीं धारें भली लग रही हैं। मैं घर जा रहा हूँ और दो-तीन दिन वहां रुकूँगा। ध्यान की कक्षायें आपने शुरू की हैं या जानकर बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। इस समय ८॥ बजे हैं और संभवत: आप बैठने को ही होंगी। यह स्मराण आते ही पत्र लिखने बैठ गया हूँ। गाड़ी रूकी है और संभवत: पत्र पूरा होते होते रुकी ही रहेगी! कक्षायें जारी रखियें फिर जब मैं आऊँगा तो परीक्षायें भी ली जासकती हैं! मैं पर्युषण व्याख्यान मालाओं में कलकत्ता – बम्बई और कानपुर बोल रहा हूँ। २९ और ३० अगस्त को कलकत्ता बोलूँगा। ३१ अगस्त को वायुवान से बम्बई पहूँचने को हूँ। १-२ और तीन सितम्बर बम्बई का कार्यक्रम है। आपका स्वास्थ्य अब ठीक हो तो आप बम्बई पहुँचे। अच्छा हो कि हवाई अड्डे पर मुझे मिलें। मैं आशा करता हूँ कि आप पहुँच रही हैं। श्री भीखमचन्द जी कोठारी एवं श्री भीखमचंद जी देशलहरा को भी मैं सूचित कर रहा हूँ। आप भी उन्हें लिखदें। पर यदि स्वास्थ्य थोड़ा भी असुविधा देरहा हो तो फिर पहुँचना नहीं है। जैसा भी हो लिखें। मैं आनंद में हूँ। रजनीश के प्रणाम
