यह ‘हमें ज्ञात नहीं’ आज का पूरा जीवन-दर्शन है। इन तीन शब्दों में हमारा पूरा ज्ञान समा जाता है! पर के सम्बंध में, पदार्थ के सम्बंध में जानने की हमारी दौड़ का अंत नहीं है। स्व के, चैतन्य के संबंध में हम प्रतिदिन अंधेरे में डूबते जाते हैं। | |||
बाहर प्रकाश मालुमम होता है : भीतर घुप्प अंधेरा है। परिधि पर ज्ञान है, केन्द्र पर अज्ञान है। | |||
और आश्चर्य यह है कि केन्द्र को प्रकाशित करने को कोई भी प्रयास नहीं करना है। वहां आंख भर पहुँच जाये और सब प्रकाशित होजाता है। | |||
‘पर’ पर आंख न हो तो वह ‘स्व’ पर खुल जाती है। बाहर उसे आधार न हो तो वह स्व पर आधार खोज लेती है। | |||
स्वाधार चैतन्य ही समाधि है। | |||
और समाधि सत्य का द्वार है। उसमें, यह नहीं कि सब प्रश्नों के उत्तर मिल जाते हैं, वरन् सब प्रश्न ही गिर जाते हैं। प्रश्नों का गिर जाना ही असली उत्तर है। जहां प्रश्न नहीं और केवल चैतन्य है – शुद्ध चैतन्य है वहीं उत्तर है – वहीं ज्ञान है। | |||

This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written in the morning on 23rd April 1963. The letterhead has "Acharya Rajneesh" in a large, messy font to the right of and above the rest, which reads:
