प्यारी सोहन,<br> | |||
प्रेम। मैं यहां आकर पछता रहा हूँ कि तुझे क्यों न बुला लिया ? पहाड़ी पर बने एक बहुत एकांत डाक बंगले में ठहरा हुआ हूँ। स्थान इतना रमणीक हैं कि बार बार तेरे साथ न होने का स्मरण आजाता है। रात्रि तो यहां कोई भी नहीं होता है। चौकीदार भी नीचे चला जाता है। फिर यहां बिजली भी नहीं है और लेम्प को बुझा देने पर इतना घुप्प अंधकार होजाता है कि उसका सौंदर्य शब्दों में बताना कठिन है। यही सोचता रहा हूँ कि तू होती तो कितनी खुश होती ? पर अब तो कुछ हो नहीं सकता है। कुसूरवार भी मैं ही हूँ। मैंने ही तुझे नहीं बुलाया। बुलाता तो तू आही जाती और माणिक बाबू तुझे भेज ही देते। इस स्वयं की भूल के कारण और भी दुख होरहा है। एक हीबात से मन को समझा रहा हूँ कि २ फ़रवरी को तो तू कल्याण मिल ही रही है। | |||

:Love. I am repenting after coming here that why didn’t I call you. I am staying in one solitary Dak Bungalow on a hill. The place is so beautiful that again and again I get reminded that you are with me. Nobody is here in the night. The guard also goes back downhill. Then there is no electricity here. On extinguishing the lamp, it becomes so dark that it is difficult to describe its beauty in words. I keep thinking that had you been here how pleased you would have been? But now nothing can be done. Only I am at fault. I didn’t call you myself. If I had called you must have come and Manik Babu would have sent you. I feel more unhappy due to my own mistake. I am consoling the mind only by one thing that any way you are meeting on 2nd February at Kalyan." | |||
