Makima was in charge of the Poona One medical centre. After Osho moved to Rajneeshpuram, Sheela replaced her with Puja as head of the Rajneesh Medical Corporation.
Because she later helped her mother to successfully sue Sheela and the RFI, Sheela placed both her and her mother on a "hit list".
