Swami Deva Sagaro, also known as Peter den Haring, took sannyas February 23, 1979. He was invited to come to Poona as a journalist for the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad and wrote for this paper two long articles about his experiences in Poona. He worked in de ashram for two years as a 'floater' (someone who worked for all departments) and as a guard. In July 1981 he returned to the Netherlands and went back to his former profession, youthwork, in 1987 changing to past life therapy and astrology. He wrote six books and created two selfhelp Cds (AuraCleaning & TranceJourneys). He works in The Hague as journalist and therapist.
