(Rolf Mäder)

Chandra was born in Switzerland and worked there as a musician. He became a sannyasin in Rajneeshpuram in 1983. In Pune, he played the French Horn for Osho and gave choir singing workshops at the Osho Multiversity. In 1999, he moved to Sedona to join the Osho Academy.

1977: Primary teacher diploma in Schiers, GR, Switzerland.
1977 to 1981, music studies in Basel, solo trumpet player and leader of the brass section of the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra.
1981: Teaching diploma for trumpet at the Basel Conservatory with Edward Tarr.
Afterwards french horn lessons with Francesco Raselli, Jakob Hefti and Günther Schlund.
Natural horn lessons with Glen Borling and Thomas Müller.
1981 to 1999: Freelance horn player in various Swiss orchestras (including the Musikkollegium Winterthur, Aargauer Sinfonieorchester, Württenbergisches Kammerorchester, Collegium Musicum Luzern) Member of various chamber music formations (e.g. with Ottetto Classico Italiano, Windstärke 6, Rümlig Trio)
1991 to 1999: Freelance horn player in international early music ensembles (Baroque horn and classical natural horn, with Il Giardino Armonico, Concerto Köln, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and the conductors Giovanni Antonini, René Jacobs, Christopher Hogwood, Nicholas McGegan, etc.)
Over 35 years of teaching experience with french horn and trumpet (including 10 years at the Cantonal School Olten, Music School Andelfingen, Music School Amriswil-Romanshorn, private lessons)
It is my great passion to continuously develop myself in various fields, to experiment, to learn and to pass on what I have learned.
Since 1984 I have also been active as a choir conductor and initiator of singing projects. I have been studying singing with Jane Thorner Mengedoht and David Thorner.
2000 to 2015: stay in Arizona, USA.
There and since then professional experience in various professional fields: photography (since 2005), web design (since 2008), video production (since 2008)
Since 2015 living in Langenbruck, BL, Switzerland.
Currently I am on virtual world tour as a soloist and conductor with the Royal Langenbruck Philharmonic Orchestra and with the “SchreckHornTrio” 😉
