The 1997 edition has the 11's digits ISBN, look at pages of book:

It is also worth noting this ISBN not unique, the same number is used for at least the next two editions:

1) Психология эзотерического; Новая алхимия : Беседы по кн. Мейбл Коллинз "Свет на пути" / Ошо ; [Пер. Свами Вит Праяс, Ма Прем Пуджа Михаил Лосев. - Репр. изд]. - М.: Б. и., 1998. - 349 с. . : портр. ; 22 . Загл. и авт. ориг.: Psychology of the esoteric; New alchemy / Osho. - На обороте тит. л. авт.: Ошо, известный как Багван Шри Раджниш - 2000 экз. - ISBN 5-7135-0046-13;
2) Вигьян Бхайрав Тантра / Ошо. Ч. 1: - , 2000. - 384 с. . - 5000 экз.--DhyanAntar 08:00, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

.... which is further proof that they are just fake numbers, obviously to make them look more "official" or someone is mocking the ISBN system.--Rudra (talk) 13:23, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

I don't agree with your verdict: "This is one of many Russian Osho books with a fake ISBN number."! There is contradictory information. But among all the publications that I overdid it a couple of times had problems with ISBN. Do not, please, extend it to all books! Of course, there are irresponsible people, there are people who do mistakes (all people do them!). It means more to me that a fact the BOOK ITSELF provided such atypical ISBN (I have seen several such cases). Let you not too overheated:-) --DhyanAntar 13:43, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

ok, i rephrased it to "This edition has a fake ISBN number." but there really are many books. just do a google search for "5-7135-0046-". and i wasn't talking about *all* books, just *many* ;}

these fakes are *NOT* mistakes. they have been done on purpose and systematically. so far, all non-10 or non-13 digit books start with "5-7135-0046-". this is no coincidence. it still is a mystery to me why a publisher fakes an ISBN. i would love to talk to them about that.

also, keep in mind : a single ISBN costs $125, while 10 ISBNs cost $250, 100 cost $575 and 1000 cost $1000 (2010 prices). so they are not really cheap.

maybe we should make a wiki page for all books with fake numbers? have you seen any fakes that do not start with "5-7135-0046-" ? --Rudra (talk) 22:23, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

All right. That sounds good and it will be useful for my notes about them. I'll creat a page Suspect ISBN numbers, wich will content ISBN with fake, suspect and non-unique ISBN numbers. But specifically look for suspect and fake numbers makes no sense.

Rudra, but why specifically look for incomplete ISBN ("5-7135-0046-")? What is the purpose? A little previously I have search incomplete numbers without the check digit, and.... There were a lot of numbers with difference in a last digit. And it only will confuse the analysis of the results and search real information. The ISBN number is unique, also including a publisher number, code publication and a last digit control number that may have 10 and 13 digital numbers, and, of course, may vary for 10-, 13- ones. I'm looking for a specific complete ISBN number (10 or 13), check it, find it on other editions. In Russia ISBN started to use since 1987 as 10-digit code and later since 2007 it continued to use as 13-digital code.--DhyanAntar 08:27, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

if you search for any ISBN number without the last check digit, you should get only ONE title as a result. if you find two or more books only ONE is the correct one and all others are fakes.--Rudra (talk) 11:59, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

Thank you, I will consider it in the future.--DhyanAntar 13:40, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
