 oxford polytechnic TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN As an educationist of some twenty years’ experience, I wish to make a statement of support for the remarkable achievements of Bagwan Rajneesh. As I have a Master’s degree in English Literature, it is not perhaps surprising that I know of his work partly through having read many of his published thoughts and books. However, some five years ago I was awarded a B.Phil. degree in Developmental Psychology, and since that time I have been particularly interested in studying and observing the very positive effects of his teachings on some of my closest personal friends who are Sanyassins. In my work here, as Senior Lecturer in Developmental psychology, I have stressed, in my lectures, the idea that learning and development is a lifelong process, not confined to childhood and youth, nor to official educational establishments only. My belief in this idea has been confirmed by my knowledge of the work that goes on in Medina Rajneesh, and by my observation of the positive growth and development that has taken place in the lives of my friends of all ages who have been affected by the teachings of the Bagwan, that most exceptional of teachers.
