Sw Deva Setu
(Masanori Takahashi, best known as Kitarō)
Kitaro was born in Japan in Feb 1953. He is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who is regarded as a pioneer of New Age music, though he is not limited to that genre. He joined and toured with the Japanese music group Far East Family Band in the 70's, beginning his solo career in 1977. Highlights of his career include the Silk Road series, collaborations with Mickey Hart, Jon Anderson and the Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai series, which have garnered 11 Grammy nominations.
