This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written on 6th October 1961. The letterhead has a simple "रजनीश" (Rajneesh) in the top left area, in a heavy but florid font, and "115, Napier Town, Jabalpur (M.P.) in the top right, in a lighter but still somewhat florid font.
Osho's salutation in this letter is a simple "मां", Maan, Mom or Mother. It has a few of the hand-written marks that have been observed in other letters: a blue number (24) in a circle in the top right corner, a red tick mark, and a second number (50) in the bottom right corner.
- Partial translation
- "After speaking at one ‘sarv-dharm-sammelan’ (an all religion forum) I am returning back. I have said that the religion is only one and it can be one only – where there is diversity religion is not there, only religion for name sake is there."
- ...
- PS:
- The letter of Shree Parakh Ji is received. At the village, mother’s health is not good, hence I will be staying there in the holidays; still if possible then, I will find out 2-3 days’ time for Chanda. There is a letter of Deshalhara Ji from Buldhana that if I come to Chanda then I would have to go for one day there too."
