Letter written on 12 Dec 1962
This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parekh. It was written on 12th December 1962.
The letterhead reads (in Devanagari):
- Acharya Rajneesh [in a large, messy font to the right of and above the rest below]
- Darshan Vibhag [Department of Philosophy]
- Mahakoshal Kala Mahavidyalaya [Mahakoshal Arts University]
- 115, Napier Town
- Jabalpur (M.P.)
Osho's salutation in this letter is a fairly typical "प्रिय मां", Priya Maan, Dear Mom. There are none of the hand-written marks that have been observed in other letters except a mirror-image number in the bottom right corner, probably 156. The 1 and 6 are readable, the 5 presumed.
The letter has been published, in Bhavna Ke Bhojpatron Par Osho (भावना के भोजपत्रों पर ओशो) (2002 Diamond edition, p 183). There it is not dated but it is clearly the same letter. In fact, the letter is also cited on p 46, where the date IS given as 12 Dec. We are awaiting a transcription and translation, but the letter appears to be almost entirely about upcoming events and recent past ones.
