Letter written on 19 Nov 1963 am

This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parakh. It was written on 19th November 1963 in the morning. The new letterhead has "Acharya Rajneesh" in a large, messy font to the left of and oriented 90º to the rest, which reads:

Osho's salutation in this letter is just plain "मां", Maan, Mom or Mother. Of the hand-written marks seen in other letters, only a red tick mark is seen up top. No mirror-image number of the kind seen in most "recent" letters can be found. The ink used in this letter is entirely black. Emphasis has been achieved by using a different pen, producing darker, thicker letters.

The letter has been published, in Bhavna Ke Bhojpatron Par Osho (भावना के भोजपत्रों पर ओशो) on p 244.

In PS Osho writes: "Chi. Arvind has been engaged with Rama - daughter of Shree Maste Ji. Due to this alliance, Maste Ji has become very much pleased and was remembering you. The marriage is being planned to be organized mostly, on the occasion of Sant Taaran Taran Jayanti (23 - 24 December). You have to come for sure at that time. Rest OK."

आचार्य रजनीश ११५, नेपियर टाउन, जबलपुर (म. प्र:) प्रभात: १९ नवम्बर १९६३ मां, कुछ करने की मन की आदत है। शारीरिक हो या मानसिक पर कुछ करने को होना चाहिए। संसार नहीं तो मोक्ष उसकी क्रिया का लक्ष्य बन जाता है। इसलिए, जब मैं कहता हूँ कि मन की निस्तरंग स्थिति, अक्रिय स्थिति ध्यान है तो लोग पूछते हैं कि मन को अक्रिय कैसे करें? ‘अक्रिय कैसे करें?’ इस प्रश्न में उन्हें विरोधाभास भी नहीं दीखता है! xxx कल यही किसीसे कह रहा था। वे बोले : ‘बात तो समझ में आती है पर करें कैसे?’ मैंने कहा : समझ में आती दीखती है आती नहीं है अन्यथा ‘कैसे करें’ का प्रश्न ही नहीं था! मन की सतत्‌ क्रिया को समझना और उसके प्रति जाग्रत होजाना ही पर्याप्त है। इसी जागरण के प्रकाश में मन निस्तरंग होजाता है। और, मन जहां निस्तरंग है वहां है ही नहीं। ‘अ-मन’ को पालेना ‘आत्मा’ को पालेना है। xxx वस्तुत:, ‘मन सक्रिय है’ ऐसा कहना ठीक नहीं है। कहना चाहिए कि सक्रियता ही मन है। सक्रियता के धुंये में सत्ता छिप जाती है। जहां क्रिया का, व्यस्तता का धुंआ नहीं है वहीं सत्ता का उद्‌घाटन है। निर्धूम चित्त को पालेना ही सबकुछ है। रजनीश के प्रणाम पुनश्च: चि. अरविंद की सगाई श्री मस्ते जी की सुपुत्री रमा से होगई है। इस संबंध से मस्तेजी बहुत प्रसन्न हुये हैं और आपकी याद कर रहे थे। विवाह संभवत: संत तारण तरण जयंती के अवसर (२३ - २४ दिसम्बर) पर रखने का विचार है। उस अमय तो आपको आना ही है। शेष शुभ।
