Shiatsu (sessions)

Shiatsu is a traditional body healing practice from Japan. Sessions were offered in Pune One by various practitioners. The Community to Provoke God brochure had this as a brief description:

Shiatsu is a form of japanese [sic] massage in which the thumbs and palms are used to apply pressure to specific points in the body to correct energy irregularities and maintain or improve health.

The pressure points referred to in the description correspond (somewhat) significantly to Chinese acupuncture points; thus, Shiatsu has also been called acupressure by those who see them as similar, though it is more massage oriented than Chinese acupressure.
