Sw Satyam Kavyen
(Kav Temperly né Finlay Beaton)
Born 1978 jn Western Australia, Kavyen is the lead singer, song writer, bassist and occasionally the keys of the Australian band Eskimo Joe.
He stayed in Poona with his mum Yatri in the early 90ies and following that spent a year at Ko Hsuan. He then returned to Fremantle, WA.
At the age of eighteen Kavyen returned to England in an attempt to re-kindle the friendship with his former classmates at Ko Hsuan. He subsequently returned to Pune. It was in India that he decided that it was time to get serious about his music. Kavyen, Stu MacLeod and Joel Quartermain founded Eskimo Joe in 1997 and within a few years became one of Australia's most popular and most awarded bands. After being at number one on the national album charts and four-times platinum sales later, they hit the road in the US, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Korea and the UK to support releases internationally.
