In "the High Court's website" section, last para needs some explanations: Amna Usman is our lawyer (for the petitioner) and of course she is part of the team, as an Associate, in the Chambers of Mahesh Jethmalani. In India, the cases are by law in the name of the Associate and/or junior lawyer and the Senior Counsel simply appears in court and argues when needed. Amna does all the preparatory work and Mahesh Jethmalani is the "Senior Counsel". Amna writes all the Petitions and Mahesh oversees the whole case and argues in court when needed. Hearings where only Amna appears are mostly procedural, where there is no need for oral arguments. Having said that, Amna Usman argued alone in the Magistrate Court in Pune, not Mahesh, as it was a lower court. In the final hearing, Amna was accompanied by Harshad Nimbalkar, a Pune-based Senior Counsel, who gave the concluding oral arguments.
You will notice that Mahesh is present in the first hearing (Order dated 22/11/2019). In the second hearing (Order dated 11/03/2020) only Amna appeared, since it was only a matter of obtaining documents. The hearing was about the fact that the Pune Magistrate court did not transfer all the documents of the case to the High Court of Bombay for the appeal, and Amna requested the HC Judge to instruct the Magistrate court to transfer them to HC. Normally, when there is an appeal, automatically the documents are transferred to the higher court. But in this case the Pune Magistrate had not done so.
