This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Birgit Kube. It is "Exhibit A-2127" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

To whom it may concern.

My first contact with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh happened during my training as a physical-therapist. Working with different kinds of physical diseases in the University of Gottingen, W. Germany from 1977 - 1981, and outside the University in clinics and hospitals for the last two years, I came to know much about the human body and its reactions to stress, body abuses, etc.

What was missing in my education at the University was a general concept to approach the human being as a body, mind, soul. This led me to various theories and practices about healing body diseases. I realized soon that all the practices devised by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh were very much concerned with the human body and its interference with the human mind.

Bhagwan’s books made it clear to me that this great religious teacher is also an outstanding psychologist, a man of immense knowledge. I made use more and more of his teachings, and I gained a new understanding of the relation between mind and body combining all my training and skill gathered at the University.

I was very happy about the results, seeing that the healing process was much easier and more effective, and my clients feeling more happy too. And for this I'm very grateful to Bhagwan because to me he seems to be a man with an extraordinary understanding of human nature and he could be definitely a great help and benefit for health of body and mind.
