This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

The presence of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh in America has put back in question the whole quality of my life. He is an exceptional man, of international reputation. Having had the occasion to listen to his discourses, to have been in his presence, I have been able to become aware of what a realized man could be. His great clarity, his spirit of synthesis has awakened a creative power in all the different aspects of my life.

I taught for many years (2 years at a pre-university level and 7 years at the secondary level). What I have been able to bring to my students in visual arts after having been in contact with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh has been the reflection of much more inspiration and vitality.

I also had the occasion to teach his different meditation techniques to some people. It was a very happy experience. Many people, courtesy of his techniques to raise consciousness, have been radically transformed. I have seen several people rediscover the great part of their potential. They again take possession of themselves.

Those who make contact with this man, either by his books or by his discourses or who still have the chance to live in his presence realize what benefit such an exceptional man can bring to humanity.
