To Whom it may concern:

It has been my good luck, the best luck, to be living with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh at Rajneeshpuram (U.S.A.). And I am greatful to him for my life.

In his presence here I have experienced this love in many ways. I feel, He is all love and compassion Though all sorts of people talk of love, love remains the most rare thing. It’s place has been taken by competition, jealousy and hate. And it is the cumulative effect of human hate that the world is on the brink of total annhilation. If some one asks what it is that is most needed today I will say love, but it is not the love of the market place, it is the LOVE that sages talk of. And the whole message of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is LOVE. Love is the very climate of his life. And I feel that if the world has to be saved from the destruction of a third world war Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is the only alternative.

I hope the administration here will have the wisdom to grant Him permanent residence in the U.S.A.

Yours faithfully, <br>

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Ma Amrit Priya. It is "Exhibit A-2025" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

Yours faithfully,
Ma Amrit Priya
