Testimonial letter from Ma Anand Els
This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  Ma Anand Els To whom it may concern : I would like to tell you of what great importance Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh was and is in my life. I met him through his books in a very dark moment of my life. I was stuck in my work, stuck with myself. I had a lot of questions "what is life all about". I was searching everywhere to find an answer. Then I heard this Master and he was speaking about life in a way I was totally in touch with. I immediately went to this master and became his disciple. Since that time my whole life changed. I followed him everywhere and his teachings were of great help and support for me. He’s speaking about uncovering and discovering our being. He gives all kind of techniques to help us by this process, like therapy groups and meditation techniques. This, to come again in contact with ourselves and life. Also his communes are of great importance by this process. I lived for one year in his commune in India and now I live in a commune of his in Italy. Here in this commune a new way of life is coming through. By living his teachings we are trying to understand what is for us life. This whole research, process of growth is very important for me. I never felt life so beautiful, so simple, so close near the Master as here in this commune. This silence and peace which is near the Master and here in this place in everything, is of tremendous beauty. Through this, the love for life is coming through with great force of which I never believed it could exist. I never worked with so much joy in my life as I do now.
