This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. Since two years now I am living in a Rajneesh community, in a wonderful countryside, 35 people, a lot of activities, mainly based on agriculture. Just now I am back from the Second Annual World Celebration in Oregon, where Bhagwan and some hundreds of His disciples are actualizing His incredible vision of human life. There, in Satsang, the daily silent heart to heart communion with the Master, I could feel once again, in its whole intensity, what it means to be with a living Master. When I sit there in complete silence I feel His energy breaking down my masks, my whole outside construction, my images, my fears, and some enormous tranquillity, peacefulness , clarity comes through; truth, love, an immense joy, deep and clear. And I know it is there, and I know I am on the right way - to go on with my search, the search of all sannyasins, who am I. By and by it is happening, a transformation, a change, a new way of life, based on a "new man", on real human beings. When I look back at the time before I met Bhagwan I see that my life has changed already in an incredible way. In college I was shocked by the anonimity and lack of humanity in that environment (I felt there was a lot of competition, ambition, selfishness, violence, indifference). I changed studies several times, I went through psychoanalisis, I moved to different cities, I travelled, but I couldn’t succed in finding a place, a job, people where I felt right. I was always looking for something more. Now those desperate times are over. Now I have found my religion. On one hand I live a very realistic, a very simple life, a lot of work, a lot of practical learning in the fields, in the garden, in nature; on the other hand I go on working inside, looking for inner peace and truth, cutting away all falsity.
