This is very difficult act to describe because of its personal nature, but it was as if I was being pulled and guided by Bhagwan. On October 14th, 1982 I was reborn as a sannyasin and started to walk life feeling as fresh as a bady. Now I find that I can enjoy life more, one month of my life now equeals a whole year of my life before. Because living as a sannyasin means to live more completely, you become more alive through His love irrespective of the physical distance between us.

I have heard that Bhagwan has said that He not only wants us to make a commune but a Buddhafield, not only in America but to make small oase's all over the world. This is the wonderful work performed by all the Rajneesh Meditation Center's which are spread through out the world. This summer in Oregon was the first time for me to meet Bhagwan. Through this I realized that simply by visiting His meditation center's in my home country and being with His sannyasin I had already experienced His love and being. He did not even speak one word, but He had me cring and laughing at the same time. Everything within me was healed through this deep heart to heart communication that existed without words. The power and deep inspiration of His message cannot be said through words.

When I took sannyas, Bhagwan's message to me was " Meditate like you are falling in love. " and since then I have been falling in love with something that I cannot express with words. I am recieving Bhagwans great love through His silence and feel that I now have the strenght to face anything.

Through His teachings and His love my personality has improved my life style has changed and I am able to live life in a total way. I continue to be amazed by master.

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Ma Atit Jayo (Miss Ruriko Inumata). It is "Exhibit A-2666" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

To Whom it May Concern,

I came across Bhagwan through His book " Tantra ; The Supreme Understanding " in the spring of 1980. Before reading His book I had been totally confused and could not understand the reason for life or comprehend why we existed. Just through reading my heart felt much more peaceful and at ease.

After this experience I very much wanted to see Him, but I didn't have the courage to become His disciple. I planned to escape into a cage of marriage because of my fears and anxiety of living alone. My search for the truth kept on pushing me and finally in the September of 1982 I visited Shantiyuga Rajneesh Meditation Center in Tokyo.

Sincerely,
