Testimonial letter from Ma Mirella
This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Milano, 7/31/83 I am a sannyasin since 1980 working in a Rajneesh Meditation Center and I am writing to you with a feeling of deep astonishment because my Master, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, has not obtained the visa yet. I need to tell you that it’s incredible for me that the enormous and important work that Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh has done through people of all the world has not been recognized till now by the American authorities. I have been in Rajneeshpuram at the beginning of July for the Second Annual World Celebration, and I am asking to you to visit Rajneeshpuram and to have a look at His work, at how His sannyasins work, with what "quality” they put themselves in everyday life. I am suggesting you also to ask for every kind of detailed informations on whatever you need to know and, please, don’t be a victim of prejudice and of time-serving. I have been a teacher and I work now in an office; my only meditation now is work; it's my only way to worship life and I can assure you that all the quality of my life has changed; I worship now with deep joy and with deep gratitude to Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh because he has taught me a constant presence, simplicity, positivity and inner cleaning on what I am doing and on how I am getting into touch with people. I really hope that you also will have a deep look on how Bhagwan’s presence is working through people and on the value of his messages to the humanity. Please, don’t be on the side of people who declare the beauty of love, the importance of work and of interior cleaning and then they miss the opportunity when it comes to ”be” what they declare to feel. Consider that to refuse the visa to Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh would be a great historical mistake for the U.S.A, which are the only modern country in the world, the only country with real opportunities of a new future for the humanity.
