TO WHOM IT MAY INTEREST:

I was finishing my university studies at the University of Puerto Rico with high honors in Special Education with concentration in emotional disturbances (1982) when I first came into contact with the message of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.

An immediate radical positive change occurred in my life.

He had a concrete vision of human behavior - more so than the great psychologists whose knowledge I had compiled throughout the years of my studies. I had studied different visions, schools and doctrines of human behavior which I used during my first year of work with students who had severe emotional disturbances and behavior problems. My experience was that there existed a huge dichotomy between the doctrines and philosophies and the conduct of the people with whom I worked and lived.

My first contact with the message of Bhagwan was at the Rajneesh Meditation Center called Bhagwatam, in Puerto Rico. I listened to his message on tape and was immediately inclined to practice the meditation techniques designed by him. It was extremely powerful - the simplicity and familiarity with which this man of impressionable caliber spoke on human behavior. Only someone who totally understands man and the necessities of our times could design such meditation techniques. Through them I began to know my inner self, understand my own behavior and learn to love myself and accept myself as I am. This is now I discovered that there is no gap between what Bhagwan’s vision of man is and man’s daily life.

The vision is totally integrated; spiritual, physical, psychological and mental.

In his books he expressed his understanding of the thoughts of great philosophers, educators, politicians and psychologists in the most clear, simple and profound manner possible.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is a genius and his knowledge and understanding of the mentality and behavior of man in our times is totally extraordinary. His vision is complete and his message is unlimited in racial, cultural and religious terms. I understood the validity of his message in its application to the existential reality of myself and my students. His vision was essential to my understanding of different theories and philosophies of human conduct and of the development of mental illnesses and emotional disturbances.

All these experiences inspired me to visit Rajneeshpuram and meet this extraordinary being personally. It was then I came to understand that everything which surrounds this man has been transfored into a sort of magical energy where disciples of all nations life in total harmony with His love. His presence has made his vision of man, his religion and his therapy of love a way of life.

During the festival this summer of 1983 I experienced the unlimited capacity He has to communicate His message through silence.

Bhagwan is a genius, a unique educator of our times and a totally exceptional being. He is a true treasure of our times. Any nation should feel honored to participate in His presence. Since I have become His disciple I have been able to receive His message and in His silent presence my life has been transformed into a continuous celebration of productivity, dance, celebration and creativity. I love Him and appreciate that He lives at this historical moment.

Sincerely,
