Testimonial letter from Ma Prem Bindhu
This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  Ma Prem Bindu, c/o S. David, CH-6951 Origlio TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: My impressions about my visit to Rajneeshpuram? I had not scheduled these holidays, it happened in the last moment. I went with a lot of trust, not knowing what it was all about. I had heard a lof of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (my mother is a sannyasin) and read some of His books. I was totally bewildered, in a positive way, by the first impact with His comune. The atmosphere there was so happy and relaxed, despite of all sannyasins arriving from all over the world. Everything was flowing and done with love. The first day before Bhagwan was passing by with His car to greet His disciples, we were all waiting for Him in a row on the red (!) roads of the ranch. This was a total new experience for me. The waiting was very intense, I felt a lot of energy and got involved very "innocently". Then Bhagwan arrived and passed by. At this point I don’t know what happened to me. It can’t be explained by words. I only remember a strong love feeling inside of me. I immediately felt, that I would ask to become a sannyasin and short afterwards it happened without any difficulties. It was a wonderful experience, every day something was changing inside of me. One day I was even laughing while I was feeling pain. The different meditations, the daily meeting with the Master during Satsang in the morning and on Master's day July 6, in the evening, the energy, the loive everything was new, but I was so ready to receive this "waterfall of love" that it entered like a bright light. This brightness made me very happy. There are many things I would like to tell. Lots of stories - so strong, so incredible - I can’t find the right words for them.
