Dear Sir,

Introducing myself to you as a woman of 36 years old, mother of two kids, having an education as a medical pathologist and physiatrist. I reaIise that without having met Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. I would not have known much more about myself than just this peripherie.

Reading one of his books about 6 years ago such a strong recognition happened inside me from the part in me that I had neglected up until then, but had been there all the time. From then on a process of getting to know myself, becoming more and more aware of my conditioning, my images, my ro[les,] my masks and getting more and more in contact with the real me who was hidden behind this imposed personality. The more this happened by doing meditation technics gi[ven] by Bhagwan, listening to his words on tape, reading his books, the more I had the feeling of becoming alive, being reborn. After a while I became a discipel and went to Poona in India to meet my master and to be in his physical presence, in his Buddhafield.

Being back in Europe this process of growing consciousness of accepting myself in all the aspects of life with a feeling of gratefullness went on and on and on.

After Bhagwan stopped giving lectures and went into silence, the contact with Him deepened end reached my heart and being. His presence and guidance are with me all the ti[me] and I see my life changing in a way that I experience life no longer as a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived. Being in His presence two times in Rajneeshpuram in Oregon, I felt His blessings showering on me and felt so much love and gratitude towards life that gave me such a beautiful Master. Being there in His Buddhafield with 15.000 people in such a loving, caring, playfull, creat[ive] free way I felt the whole of humanity could benefit whe[n] His message of love, life and laughter can spread more and more.

Dear reader, Bhagwan shows me that life is divine, that Go[d] is everywhere, that when we can open ourselves for that, life becomes prayer and dance.

With love, <br>

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Ma Prem Dassana (M. T. M. Terrahe). It is "Exhibit A-2502" in the Noles collection.

The original letter was handwritten. The image below links to a pdf file of the original letter. It has 2 pages.

This is a rare handwritten letter which has neat enough handwriting for the OCR to work, so it has been transcribed. It suffers from a slightly off-center photocopy, so a few words are cut off on the right. Those cut-off words have been guessed / restored by the wiki in [square brackets].

To whom it may concern,

With love,
Ma Prem Dassana
(M.T.M. Terrahe).
