This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. In my recent trip in Oregon, for the II Annual World Celebration, I’ve remarked with immense joy that my trust and the trust of many others in the world has been put in concrete form in your country, through a orderly, constructive, useful, collective work. A dry land transformed in a center of happy activity! This seems to me the best testimony of the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh’s influence, with His invitation to meditation and prayerful dayly work, in the utmost respect of the intrinsic values of life: love, friendship, tolerance.
