This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Ma Prem Nibbano (M. Drewes). It is "Exhibit A-1274" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

To whom it may concern,

Since my earliest childhood I have been dedicated to music. Going through Highschool studies 1 finished those in 1971 at the ’Musikhochschule’ in Hamburg, West-Germany. Afterwards I did advanced studies in Madrid with Requejo and in Geneve with Hildtbrandt.

My present activities are devoted to mostly chambermusic (i.a. pianist in tne Gegeno-ensemble). Also I accompagny music-concourses and work as a pianist at the ’Scapino-ballet', Amsterdam.

In 1978 I took sannyas ana became a discipel of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. I must say that this has been of great importance for me. It gave me total new insights in music, which helped me enormously for a succesful carreer as a pianist.

Certanly, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh has tnrough His meditation-techniques deeply influenced my artistic life. He deepened my understanding of music and my body, so that I could perfectio-nate my performances.

For this I am immensly grateful to Him. This what has happened to me has happened to many artists I know. His teachings are immensly helpful for all of us. I hope that as well american artists will be able to enjoy Him and appreciate more and more the treasure He has to give.

Sincerely yours,
Ma Prem Nibbano
