This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN My name is Maria do Socorro Rodrigues Monteiro de Freitas, I graduated at Psychology by the Catholic University of Pernambuco and I’ve been working in this area for ten (10) years. Since I read the first book of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (1981) and I begun to do some meditations techniques created by Him, I have felt more and more connection with Him. This connection have been growning since I took sannyas, since I became Bhagwan’s disciple in March/83. His silence is as fertile as Eis words. In His presence, I feel silence too, it’s possible a heart to heart communion. The world is full of words and promises: falses words and falses promises. We can see what is happen -ing in every country; angry, violence, figths. With Bhagwan it’s .... possible one feels peace, joy, love. I come from Brasil but, sometimes, it’s like I’ve been living near Him , at Rajneeshpuram. I had a interesting experience: I had written a letter to Him, about my actually feelings and, before I put it at the Post-Office, I felt a special desire to read one book that I had bought at Rajneeshpuram. For my surprise, the answer to my questions was there! He was answered my letter before I send it! So, I can say with all the strengh of my heart, Bhagwan’s silence doesn’t affect His disciples meditations nor His communion with the Master. We are together, we flow together. I’m very happy to be a Rajneesh’s disciple! It doesn’t matter wether He speaks or not. He is being and this is sufficient for me and for all His beloveds disciples. [signed] |
