Testimonial letter from Ma Yoga Punya

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. To whom it may concern My father was a member of the Swiss diplomatic service posted in Milan where I grew up. He insisted I should learn as many languages as possible so, although living most of my life in Italy, I studied 4 years in Zürich, 1 year in London and 2 years in Geneva. When my studies were completed I worked for 3 years as graphic designer and photographer with Ala Advertising Agency, then for 2 years I -directed the Foreign rights section of Feltrinelli Publishers also in Milan and for 3 years as editor of Il Poli-grafico Italiano, a technical magazine. Subsequently I was in charge of three departments (purchasing, advertising, computing) of Herholdt import-export company. After I became a disciple of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh in 1974 I divided my time between meditation courses at His ashram in Poona (and, later on, in Rajneeshpuram, Oregon) and my work as Media Advisor in McCann-Erickson Advertising Agency in Geneva and Account Executive in Abächerli Advertising Agency in Zürich. Thanks to Bhagwan's meditation techniques and work training, my career life has taken a new form: efficiency has been enhanced, ideas are clearer, team work has become easy and enjoyable. Bhagwan's teachings are of incredible value for humanity and all possible support should be given for Him to spread His work. It is an honour for any country to give Him the hospitality He may ask for.
