This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Marlyn Miller. It is "Exhibit A-2126" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

Precept property Management
July 11, 1983

Affidavit in Support of Bagwan Shree Rajneesh

Rajneesh Hotel
1115 South West 11th Ave.
Portland Oregon 97205

I am a professional in the field of Real Estate and Property Management. I have visited the Ranch in March of 83 and am very impressed. The building construction, the dam that was built, the farmland being worked and most of all the treatment and concern for all mankind is far above anything I have ever experienced. All has been inspired by Bagwan and has just mushroomed from there. The time I spent there, I felt a sence of well-being far greater that I have ever experienced.

I am also a professional mother. My 17 year old son is visiting the summer festival and is experiencing some of the greatest feelings he has ever imagined.

I feel the program is of great benefit to show mankind how nice it can be. I think that America should be greatful that Bagwan wanted to start his ranch here in the United States. I am in great support in allowing Bagwan to live here in the U.S.

Love
