Dear Madam,

My name is Dr. Paul Störck, born on the 12th September 1923 in Vienna, Austria. I am the Chairman of the managing board of the Österreichischer Genossenschaftsverband (Schulze-Delitzsch), the confederation of the co-operatives in Austria.

I became acquainted with the movement of the BHAGWAN SHREE RAJNEESH about 2 years ago through friends of mine und have seen their activities in the local meditation center. In this period I also became acquainted with people who want to help other people in conversations and meditation work.

As far as read the books of Bhagwan Shree, he is open for all the world religions of high value, especially for the Christianity, and teaches mutual understanding in tolerance and charity with assistance of the meditation techniques, developed by him.

I think in this age with the necessity of efficent efforts for peace are his activities of high value and therefore I would like to support his application for prolongation of his residence-and work-permit in the United States (federal state Oregon) or to give him the chance for a permanent residence.

Yours faithfully, <br>

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Dr. Paul Störck. It is "Exhibit A-2114" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

Yours faithfully,
