This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Rolf Hannes. It is "Exhibit A-1133" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

To whom it may concerne.

1. The Lotos Edition is now 3 years old.

1980 I published: Mit Wurzeln und mit Flügeln, a german translation of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh's: Roots and Wings, part one; one year later: Die Schuhe auf dem Kopf, part two, and recently I published my third Bhagwan book: Die Alchemie der Verwandlung (english: The True Sage). From ”Mit Wurzeln und mit Flügeln” meanwhile I did the second edition.

2. In Germany there is great hungry for books like those writte by Bhagwan Shree Raineesh. Particularly for the last: Alchemie(The True Sage). I expect a reception above the average, because this book contents the beauty of hassidism the jewish mystic. As a german I have the good fortune to publish this book not only for seekers (sannyasins), but for my jewish fellow-citizens. This book is a gift for all men, who takes care for humaness and love.

3. Therefore this work for me is really life-work. The happin to publish such books is growing up, the sales too of cour and I am sure this will be more and more so in future.
