This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  Dr. S. N. SHAH This is to put on record some of my observations during my contacts with Acharya Shri Rajneesh. I came in contact with him about fifteen years ago. When he was staying in Bombay I had several personal contacts and whan he shifted to Poona I used to listen to his discourses on tape and read them in the books. His grasp on all religions is unique. He has been able to reach very deep in the subject and has often been able to arrive at a very new angle of obsercation. He is able to show the old prophets and old religious scripts in new light. His interpretation of the subject is such that the present day modern educated man is able to understand, get interrested and go deeper in religious subjects. He has developed a new way of thinking and has developed a new fundamental base for living for the present and coining generations. As his views spread it is going to make a big impact ont the present civ ilisation. If it does in good time we may be able to save the human race from self destruction and lead it to Superman.
