This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society.  LUTZ PALO TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I was born in Paris, the 2.15.58. I spent 4 years studying Political Science in France, Strasbourg, at the University of this city from 1978-1981. I took sannyas 1981, August. Being here in the USA to share some few weeks with my Master, I would like to write this following affidavit tn support Bhagwan and his work. And to trust and hope that he is going to live long and he healthy so that many years are left to share his presence, and to come closer and closer to the energy field that surrounds him. *One is hound to get interested in Bhagwan. His books are spoken in a very clear language, and are about the most fundamentals subject that are concerning man:SPIRITUALITY. The quality of one’s own conscience become deeper when he is near, so through the centers, where one can come to know what the magical word:Meditation is all about. I have come to he interested in Bhagwan just by reading one of his books. Then, by and by, I saw my interest growing, as my own meditation. For sure life has never been so powerful and rich since I am with Bhagwan, and to be with his people, than before I took sannyas. To end, and as a conclusion, it is rare phenomenam and a great opportunity, Bhagwan and Rajneeshpuram, to come here and to have a look, one, whoever it may be, will come to understand that something really beautiful and delicate, as well as classic is happening here.
