This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

To whom it may concern

Since 5 years I am a student of Psychologie at the Technical University of Berlin. My special field is clinical research in the developement of new therapeutical methods. As member of the clinical research group of the Technical University I am occupied with theoretical and practical examinations in this field. In order to take my degree, I am now writing my thesis on the subject of Meditation, Love and Therapy. My mentor is Professor Doctor E. Jaeggi, director of the Psychological departement of the Technical University. The aim of my thesis is to offer a synopsis of different therapeutical directions and of diverse kinds of meditation techniques in order to show coherences in methods as well as in aims.

According to my opinion, the world's most advanced therapeutical work happens in the surrounding of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, through his directions and inspiration. He has created and is creating a specific environment, a buddhafield, where processes of specific therapeutical nature as well as of personal growth in total is immensely supported.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh functions as a catalytic agent. It is marvellous, although He seems to do nothing, He takes great effect on what is happening arround Him. And, I can say, the therapeutical work which is done specifically in Rajneeshpuram and elsewhere by His disciples has an intensy and efficacy uncomparable in this field.

The buddhafield created by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is a therapy in itself, it is a unique healing device. That what happens at the Rajneesh International University at Rajneeshpuram is also unique in the world. All this exceptional advanced work has been possible only through the inspiration and teachings of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.

In the clinical research group of the Technical University Of Berlin we are working also according to His propositions. In my thesis Rajneeshtherapy is presented as a capital synthesis of what happens in this field.

I know Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for three years from books, since that time I was deeply impressed by His being and teaching. Actually I'am a sannyasin for eight months. This summer was the first time for me to see Him with my eyes and now I'm really deeply impressed. Professionally I. am amazed by the extraordinary healing atmosphere in Rajneeshpuram, personally I can say that after being eight months sannyasin and especially after one month in Rajneeshpuram I feel more alive. All in all, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh grows to be the most important person in my life, to whom I am gratefull for His pure being.
