I was born on Sept. 2, 1945 in Kiel. From 1956 till spring 1966 I attended the Grammar School, mathematic-natural science section, at Hildesheim. In the spring of 1966 I passed the final examination with a very good report.

After a half year course of practical work in the industry I started studying electronics at a university. Parallel to this I tried to find a place to study psychology and after a successful examination I was admitted to this faculty. After a short period of time I found out that both studies did not fullfil my expectations at that time. At several universities I chose to study law and parallel to this I took courses in philosophy. I passed both law examinations with honors. Shortly afterwards I was admitted as lawyer and started a lawyer's office together with a colleague. Besides this I went to lectures at the CG-Jung Institute at Zurich. On Feb. 10, 1977 I became a matriculated student at this institute.

In the following period I moved my office to one of the largest and most reputated partnerships in Freiburg (7 lawyers) where I was mainly engaged in supreme court cases. After earning enough money I started a lawyer's office of my own here in Oberstaufen in the summer of 1979 as I feld a strong urge for freedom and independence. In additions to that I have meanwhile been admitted to the Bavarian Provincial Court and also to the Supreme Court of Bavaria.

Through press publications in 1978 my attention was drawn for the first time to Bhagwan’s work in Poona. As soon as I had read His first books I became aware that Bhagwan was the only spiritual master who combined the practice of Far East meditations with the practice of the Western group therapies into a harmonious synthesis thus creating an opening for real inner growth for each individual. In the past years I had studied many western and eastern methods but had never attained full contentment as these teachers or methods were too limited and did not consider the vast complexity of existence. In February 1979 I visited Bhagwan in India and became His disciple. After a short stay I returned to my professional life. Without Bhagwan I would never have found to a positive approach to existence which lies in my own self. The work of Bhagwan is so immense and deep that mankind will only be able to understand this in the next centuries to come.

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Sw Nirdosh Munish (Peter Satzky). It is "Exhibit A-2116" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has 2 pages.

To whom it may concern
