This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Sw Nirdosh Niren (Bruno Moosburger). It is "Exhibit A-1761" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

To whom it may concern!

I am twenty-three and I am Rajneeshee since one year. I would like to say that Bhagwan has brought me a totally new life because he has brought God into my life - and laughter.

I was born in a very catholic family and I had to go to the church each Sunday since I can remember. But I didn’t belive that there is any God and I felt it is wasting time to go and do the same dead gestures each Sunday, but I had to go because of my parents. I didn’t see any fun in my life and I allways just "tried" to live - had never the feeling I am doing it "right now". That was always frustrating me.

Then it happened that I had the first experience with one of Bhagwans meditations and within a month doing this meditation my life changed totally.

So I became more and more connected to Bhagwan and the first time in my life I felt alive and I felt Bhagwans presence in my meditations. For the first time in my life I experienced what “God” means and that he really exists.

So for me Bhagwans religion is alive, because there is a living Master and thats why I can not understand why Bhagwan should not be a religious worker.

I was in Rajneeshpuram last july at the First Annual World Celebration to see my Master and to be physically close to him for the first time and it was just great and unbelievable beautiful. I never had such a feeling of “being really at home” as in Rajneeshpuram and it happend not jus because of the beatiful country but through the presence of Bhagwan.

I also have been this year at the Second Annual World Celebration and it is really the greatest feeling to sit in Satsang with Bhagwan and join his dance of love.

much fun
