This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Sw Ramadham (Suissa Meir). It is "Exhibit A-1556" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I am Swami Ramadham, aka Suissa Meir of Israel, musician, artist, want to tell you about my Master Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.

I have come in contact with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh through meeting some of His disciples on a visit to Amsterdam. I was very impressed by the energy and life these red-clad people were emanating and so they let me read some magazines of His discourses.

I was immediately touched by the clarity of this Man and a new sense of freedom filled me and on the spot I decided to go and see Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.

I became his disciple in February *78 and He made of me a more loving and responsible human being, but the real thing that I feel can’t be just spoken.

Hearing him talk about music, art, poetry, nobody ever talked so beautifully about these subjects, with such authority that comes only from a person that deeply knows what he says.

But the main thing I want to say is the quality and the depth of the music and craft I do has amazingly improved, first the pleasure that I derive from doing it, then came an awareness that I put into the work, the diminishing feeling of agrandizing my ego through creativity but more to share the beauty with the existence that we are part of.

As an artist, I can finally say that here is a Man that wakes the creativity in me, and that every sentence He says is pure poetry and all what is happening around Him is pure and in the deepest sense that words can carry and I am so grateful for all that beautiful energy He keeps showering on everybody around Him.

Sincerely yours,
[signed]
Ramadham
