First of all, I met Bhagwan 3 and a half years ago, still in India.

I was studying in that time geology in Saarbrucken University, Germany. I was very much interested finding out and studying the ecological resources, and coordinations and foundations, under which man exist. The things I learn in that University did not satisfy my interests very much so I looked for a wider view to understand whats going on on this planet. That was the time I met Bhagwan.

He gave me, when he was still talking, a very vast: vision of the human potential, of the human possibilities of growth. He gave me such a deep understanding of inner and outer nature of man, and the circumstances we all live in, as I have never heard it before. I stopped the university and took sannyas.

Now this is what is happening here in Rajneeshpuram. The realisation of his vision, to create a city, where man can live in total harmony with himself, with others and with nature. He is in silence now, but that doesn’t mean that we all can’t feel him. He inspires us every day with his being present and close, with his love, and it is a gift for me to live in such a place, even when it is only for a few months. I am staying here until the end of October and I’m doing the Rajneesh Rebalancing Course on the Rajneesh International Meditation University.

What we learn here is a new understanding of the human body, that includes anatomy, functional understanding of the body, body reading, different massage techniques and energy work, that means bringing the body back in its natural balance and harmony. This whole course is such an opportunity which I can’t find nowhere else in the world. It is such a gift for this country, to have Bhagwan here, in fact for every country. You should acknowledge that please.

This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Sw Satyam Ananto. It is "Exhibit A-2301" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
