Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

Hometree Computer Consultants
P. O. Box 20291
Oakland, California 94620
July 19, 1983

To Whom it May Concern:

I am a Computer Consultant and proprieter of Hometree Computer Consultants. I have been on contract to the University of California at Berkeley for the past four years. Previous to that I worked for the IBM Corporation as a programmer, analyst and manager for over ten years. Included in that tenure I was the Senior Coordinater for the Onboard Computer Software for Space Shuttle's Deorbit and Reentry.

My work has been immensely helped by Bhagwan Rajneesh's Meditations. As you can imagine doing Computer work eight hours a day the body is neglected. Bhagwan Rajneesh's meditations bring needed attention to the body, reduces the stress of the daily work and brings a lightness to the heart. The effects were better for me than jogging, basketball and aerobics. I have suggested these meditations to other computer programmers. All those who tried were amazed as to the positive change in their lives.

In all my travels around the world both on pleasure and on business, I would take with me a few tapes and a book of Bhagwan Rajneesh. I would constantly be touched by the knowledge of people of other lands of Bhagwan Rajneesh.

I came to know of Bhagwan Rajneesh seven years ago while a Manager for IBM. I was attending a course on "Personal Communications" at the University of Houston at Clear Lake to help improve my relations with my 14 employees.

One session a cassette tape was played where Bhagwan talked about relating with people. I was as you say "Blown out" by his clarity of bringing out the positive qualities for relating and communicating with people.

Nowhere else or from no other teacher had such focus on a subject been shared with me. Since then I regularly listen to his cassettes and videos on subjects of my interest. He is indeed a rare person with exceptional art to teach people.

Sincerely,
[signed]
Shunyam Arihanta
