This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

To whom it may concern

I am an insurance-consultant working in L.A. area.

I happened to come across a couple of books from Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. This man is for sure a great spiritual teacher who has to contribute a lot to our present society. I am concerned about the situation as such.

Around Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh something very significant is happening. These people simply get together and built a city in only one year. The work that has been done since last year at Rajneeshpuram is incredible!

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is not only an outstanding spiritual teacher, his followers also know how to built a city in one year.

This potential man and his followers should be welcomed in Amerika.

I made a brief visit to Rajneeshpuram and found very nice and happy people trying to live in tune with nature and themselves.

Sincerely, yours
