This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

WROTHWELL G. WALL
SOLICITOR AND ATTORNEY
172 WINDSOR STREET, PADDINGTON, N.S.W. 2021 TEL: 328 6784

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Having been admitted to the practice of law in 1979 after completing studies at the University of Sydney, I have subsequently been engaged in private practice as a solicitor and attorney in Sydney working in the areas of corporate law and civil litigation. I have represented various organisations associated with the disciples of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for a number of years.

I have read many books containing Bhagwan’s discourses and in my opinion the light he has shed on ancient religious traditions has brought a new accord between religion and the findings of modern science. The breadth of his vision has a fundamental relevance to the manifold disciplines in the arts and sciences, viewing as he does each particular discipline from the perspective of existence as a unity.

Bhagwan's profound insights into the relationship between mankind and the world in which we live is probably only recognised today by those few people who have closely and unprejudicially examined his teachings. However, I am confident that he will be recognised by future generations as a truly great human being who has left to the world a legacy of immeasurable value.
